Albion Park man eyes retirement with exhilarating $1 million Lotto windfall
Retirement is beckoning for an Albion Park man who scored $1 million in a recent Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw, but only discovered his win five days after the draw.
The New South Wales resident held the only division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4241, drawn Wednesday 7 December 2022, and took home $1 million.
“It’s so surreal! I still can’t believe it!” he laughed when speaking to us.
“I went to the local paper shop like I do every Sunday morning to put another lottery ticket on for the week, and when I checked my Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket, it wouldn’t go through.
“The team member told me that I’d won, but we weren’t sure how much.
“I was told to ring The Lott head office, so I didn’t have much of a clue until I checked the ticket online.
“Definitely a lot more zeros than I expected. Wow!
“It’s hard to comprehend. I’ll have to process it over the coming weeks.
“It looks like I might have to retire soon!
“It’s been on my mind for a while now, and now it’s achievable.”
His winning marked 14-game entry was purchased at Albion Park Newsagency, 159 Tongarra Road, Albion Park.
The Albion Park Newsagency team said they’re thrilled for their local winner and wished them all the best with their life-changing prize.
