Campbelltown man considers ‘running naked and dancing in the streets’ after $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto win
A Campbelltown man has confessed he was left in a state of utter confusion after discovering he’d bagged $1 million in Monday & Wednesday Lotto a week after the draw.
The Sydney man held one of the four division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4264 on Monday 27 February 2023 and took home $1 million.
“I checked my ticket, and it told me that I had won but when I saw the amount I couldn’t believe it!” he said when we confirmed his incredible windfall.
“Surely it couldn’t be me who has won?!
“I just laughed and laughed; I’m still struggling to come to terms with it.
“Believe me, if I was 35 years younger I’d be naked and dancing in the streets! I’m so excited now, I can barely contain it.”
When asked how he planned on spending his new-found fortune, the elated winner shared he still hadn’t decided.
“I’ve been thinking about what I should do, but I’ve been very lucky in life! I have a home, I have a car, and I don’t really want anything either!” he laughed.
“I think the right thing to do is donate to charity and set my family up for their futures.
“It will feel amazing to do those things.”
His winning entry was purchased at Queen Street Newsagency & TSG, Shop 4, 138 Queen Street, Campbelltown.
Queen Street Newsagency & TSG manager Ehab Tadrous said he was relieved the winner had been united with their prize.
“When we first heard we had sold a division one winning entry, we were so excited. It’s fantastic news for the outlet, our customers and our local community,” he said.
“This division one win has been long coming for our outlet as it’s been over five years since we last sold a division one winning entry. I hope this is just will be the start!
“We’d like to wish the winner all the best and congratulate them on their life-changing win!”
