A Camden dad couldn’t believe his eyes when he checked his Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket late yesterday afternoon and discovered his wondrous $1 million windfall.

The New South Wales resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4316, drawn Monday 28 August 2023 and took home a total prize of $1,004,633.20.

The ticket was unregistered which means we had no way of contacting the winner to reveal their life-changing prize and had to wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.

“I was so shocked, so surprised!” he laughed when we confirmed the newfound fortune this morning.

“I can remember the exact amount on the top of my head - $1,004,633.20!

“I checked my Monday & Wednesday Lotto ticket on The Lott app yesterday, and I was blown away.

“I’ve been playing for a long time, and I always lean towards playing a System entry.

“I’ve told my children about the win and they’re so happy for me.

“My children keep telling me to retire, and now that I have this win, they’ll say it even more.

“But I’m going to continue to get up and go to work to keep myself occupied!

“I’m not sure what I’ll do with the prize. I’m too overwhelmed, but I know it will go to good use.”

His winning entry was purchased at Camden Newsagency, 130 Argyle Street, Camden.
