St Albans Park woman experiences a rollercoaster of emotions following $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto win
A St Albans Park woman’s life has been pleasantly turned upside down this morning after discovering she had become a newly minted millionaire in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.
The Victorian woman held the only division one winning entry nationally in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4327, drawn Wednesday 4 October 2023, and pocketed $1 million.
The winning woman was completely unaware of her new millionaire status until we called her this morning.
“You’re kidding me?!” she gasped.
“I’m speechless, I don’t know what to say.
“When I saw the call, I thought ‘that’s a scammer’.
“You hear about these wins, but you never think it’ll be you!
“I play every week and I’ve been playing since TattsLotto started.
“I only ever do the minimum number of entries which is four games. For the first line, I use birthday numbers, then I choose random for the rest.
“I can’t stop smiling and laughing. Now I’m getting emotional.”
With tears flowing, the winning woman explained that her newly attained lottery loot would allow her more freedom.
“I get so worried about the cost of living, and this just feels like it’s taken a weight off my shoulders,” she said.
“You don’t know how much this means to me.
“Now I can feel confident retiring and I’ll be able to take myself on a holiday.”
The woman's winning 4-game marked entry was purchased online at thelott.com - the official home of Australia's lotteries.
