A Padstow woman’s life has been turned upside down this morning after discovering she’d won more than $1 million in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.

The New South Wales player held the only division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4314, drawn Monday 21 August 2023 and took home $1,000,021.60.

“Oh my god! Oh my god!” she gasped when we called to confirm her windfall.

“I can’t stop the tears. You don’t know how much this means to my kids and I.

“I’m shaking! I can barely hold onto the phone.

“Thank you so much, it’s been such a hard time for us, and this is unbelievable.

“This is life-changing!”

With her tears freely flowing, the winning woman explained that her newly attained millionaire status would set her and her children up for the future.

“I’ll be able to pay off my mortgage, which is going to be an enormous weight lifted from my shoulders,” she said.

“Then, I want to help my children break into the property market to allow them to fulfil their dreams.

“And I’ll have some fun too, I promise!

“Oh my goodness. I hope I can take a few days off to process this, but I won’t be quitting my day job.

“I need to call my kids! You never expect something like this to happen to you, so when it does it makes sense that it’s incredibly overwhelming.

“Thank you again. This is incredible.”
