Moonta Bay mum nearly faints during $1 million Monday & Wednesday X Lotto winning phone call
A Moonta Bay mum has discovered that winning $1 million in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto can come with a physical side effect after she started feeling faint during the confirmation phone call.
The Northern Yorke Peninsula resident held one of the two division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw, drawn Monday 26 June 2023. Each entry took home $1 million.
This morning, we reached out to the unsuspecting South Australian woman, who was left shocked by the revelation.
“Are you serious?! Far out!” she joyfully yelled.
“I shouldn’t say this but, bloody hell!
“I’m going to faint in a minute. This is life-changing.
“I wondered who was calling me at seven o’clock in the morning. I thought it was a hoax!
“I’ve been playing for ages and ages. I thought for so long that I would never win division one!
“I just have an automated QuickPick that runs every week. I know the numbers off by heart.
“I’m going to ring my children after I compose myself.
“I can’t believe this.”
With $1 million about to set her up for the new financial year, the regular player declared helping her children was a number one priority.
“I’m going to fix my children up with some houses. Oh my god, they’re not going to believe this,” she said.
“I’m retired too, so this will really be a boost to retirement.
“Thank you so much for this phone call.”
Her winning entry 18-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
