Gruyere woman bound for Wales with $1.5 million TattsLotto windfall
A Gruyere woman can’t wait to dust off her passport and pack her bags for Wales after scoring $1.5 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian held one of the 13 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4307, drawn 29 October 2022. Each entry scored $1,538,461.54.
“Is it really true?!” the winning woman asked when we made contact to confirm her prize.
“Oh, it’s a bit exciting.
“Is it really, really true?
“I only bought this on Friday night. I just thought, ‘maybe I’ll get a TattsLotto ticket for Saturday’.
“Then, I was speaking to one of my adult children yesterday and they said they’d had four numbers in TattsLotto. That reminded me to check my ticket and that’s when I saw all the numbers there.
“I had to check it a few times. I was thinking, ‘surely not’.
“Oh my gosh!”
“Woohoo!” her husband yelled in the background.
“I just can’t believe it. You have no idea how life-changing this is. You have no idea. It will set my family up for life,” she said.
“It’s incredible.
“And how amazing to have thirteen division one winners in the draw. That’s thirteen families’ lives that have changed.
“Oh my god, I can’t believe it. I will help the children. It will help us.
“I was just thinking the other day when I was paying off some bills, ‘I’m never going to see the end of it’.
“But now, we’ll pay of the mortgage and maybe do a bit of travel. I’d love to go wo Wales – it’s beautiful there.”
The Victorian’s winning 24-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
