A hard-working Cairns woman has confessed she’s going straight back to work after discovering she scored $1 million in last night’s Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto draw.

The North Queensland winner held one of the two division one winning entries nationally in Monday and Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 4064 drawn Monday 29 March 2021.

They each take home a division one prize of $1 million.

Sharing her joy with us this morning, the winner recounted the moment she discovered her life-changing prize.

“I don’t know whether to believe it or not! It’s still hasn’t sunk in!” she exclaimed.

“I’m at work and just popped out to run a few errands in my break and put my ticket through the machine, and that was it! I realised I’d won win.

“I have no idea what to do! It’s all just a bit of a shock. I don’t know what to say.

“I don’t play that often, only every now and again.

“I bought this ticket using the winnings from the last ticket I bought.

“What started as a $15 win has turned into $1 million! I can’t believe it!”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her future as a newly-minted millionaire, the happy woman confessed she would still keep turning up to work.

“I’ve got to get back to work! I’ve got stuff to do!” she laughed.

“I am semi-retired, so I will continue to work the hours I do. I won’t give up work completely.

“I’m not sure what we will do with our win. It’s hard at the moment with restrictions, but once things start to open up again, I’m sure we’ll take a trip somewhere!”

The division one winning entry was purchased at Tobacco Station Edmonton, Shop T10a, 7-11 Walker Street, Edmonton.
