Gold Coast man in a spin after winning $1 million in Wednesday Lotto
A hard working Gold Coast man is in a spin today after winning the guaranteed division one prize of $1,000,000 in last night’s Wednesday Lotto draw.
The elated winner was the only one division one winner across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3735 drawn on 31 January 2018.
In addition to winning division one, the man’s marked System 7 entry also won division two six times – bolstering his total Wednesday Lotto prize to $1,026,700.90.
When speaking with a NSW Lotteries official this morning to confirm the news the winner confessed he nearly had a heart attack when he checked his entry last night after the draw.
“I tell you, I nearly had a heart attack last night – I couldn’t sleep,” he declared.
“When I looked at the numbers and saw them I thought ‘what’! I had the six winning numbers and then when I looked again I had the supplementary numbers as well. Every number was a winner!
“This is just so unbelievable!”
When asked what he has planned for his windfall, the winning man said he wouldn’t be making any major changes.
“I’m approaching retirement but I’ll keep working,” he shared. “I’m not going to rush into anything. I’ll take my time and be considered with what I do.”
The winning entry was purchased online at thelott.com.
