Innisfail mum screams with joy after discovering she woke up a Wednesday Gold Lotto millionaire
An Innisfail mum has screamed down her workplace after answering the phone to news she’s woken up a millionaire.
The hardworking woman held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto draw 3859, drawn Wednesday 10 April 2019. Each winning entry took home a division one prize of $1,000,000.
We had the pleasure of contacting the woman this morning to break the life-changing news, catching her as she’d just settled in for a day at work.
“You’re joking! You must be joking!” she screamed with joy.
“I’ve won the lotto? I’ve won one million dollars?
“No! I don’t believe it!“That’s fantastic isn’t it!
“I can’t contain myself. I don’t know what to say.
“Oh my god! I’ve woken up a millionaire!
“I really cannot believe it. I’m at work!”
The regular Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto player told us she always marked her entries.
“Some are birthday numbers and some are just completely random numbers but I have been playing them for a long, long time,” she explained.
"I’ve always dreamt of this day but you never think it will actually happen!
“I don’t know what I will do with the prize. I really don’t know!
“I’ve just been discussing with my husband about getting a new car.
“And we will definitely pay off the mortgage and be mortgage free.
“I can’t wait to spoil the kids! My husband won’t believe me!”
The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 12-game marked entry at Larsen’s News & Casket Agency, 60 Rankin Street, Innisfail.
Larsen’s News & Casket Agency manager, Barbara Kremastos, said it was the best feeling to know she had contributed to making someone’s dreams come true.
“We’re all so excited for the winner and this is such a wonderful boost for the region!” she exclaimed.
“It’s been a few years since we last sold a division one winning entry so we’re thrilled.
“We wish our winner all the best!”
