Central Coast grandparents say they have arrived in wonderland after winning a million-dollar division one prize in this week’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto.

The New South Wales entry was the only division one winning entry across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3834 on Monday 14 January 2019, taking home a total division one prize of $1,000,000.

Confirming their win with us, the couple explained how they watched Monday night’s draw play out in utter disbelief.

“Well, I was watching television with my granddaughter. We were just sitting there and the Lotto draw started,” the woman explained.

“The number 43 came out, then number eight was drawn, then my husband’s birthday came out and my birthday was drawn.

“Then we saw 37 pop up and that was the year I was born.

“We quickly realised all of our special numbers had been drawn.

“I couldn’t talk properly, I was screaming and yelling!

“Then we double checked the results online and it was confirmed, we won division one!”

The grandparents revealed they had been entering Monday & Wednesday Lotto for decades, using the same special numbers.

“We’re still in wonderland,” she laughed.

“I really can’t believe our combination of numbers was drawn.

“It’s been a real shock.”

The generous grandparents said their tribe of children and grandchildren were at the top of their lotto list.

“We’ve had a beautiful lie, we consider ourselves very lucky people,” they shared.

“We have a big, beautiful family so we will look after our children and grandchildren.

“And we will book a few holidays.

“We would love to fly overseas first class to board a cruise.”

The million-dollar winning entry was purchased at Tuggerah Shopping Town, Shop 1082, 50 Wyong Road, Tuggerah.

Tuggerah Shopping Town owner Simon Zhu said he couldn’t be more thrilled for his customers.
