A private syndicate of 15 workmates will have a great first week back at work in 2019 after their entry scored a division one prize of $1.7 million in Saturday’s $30 million TattsLotto Megadraw.

The happy winners held one of the 17 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3907, drawn Saturday 29 December 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1,764,705.89.

Each syndicate member will receive a share worth $117,647.05.

The ticket was unregistered, so we had no way of contacting the winners with the life-changing news and had to wait for them to come forward today to claim their prize.

When speaking with us this morning, the syndicate leader recounted how he discovered the news.

“Wahoo! It’s a work syndicate actually! There is 15 of us,” he explained.

“One of the guys checked the numbers and called me to let me know we had won.

“We are still on holidays, which is good. We’ll absolutely be celebrating when we are back in the office.

“We grab a QuickPick every week for 10 weeks in advance. This was the first week on that ticket!

“We’ve only been going since August and have only won small amounts so this is fantastic. It will certainly help everyone out!”

When asked how he planned to enjoy his share of the windfall, the thrilled syndicate leader revealed he was still processing the exciting news.

“Not really sure how I’ll use it! I haven’t really given it too much thought. Just taking it all in at the moment – that’s the best way to describe it!” he laughed.

The syndicate leader, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the winning entry at Ocean Grove Tatts & Cards, 72B The Terrace, Ocean Grove.

Ocean Grove Tatts & Cards owner Blair Dawkins declared he was over the moon that the winners had been united with their prize.

“It’s great news! We are so happy for our winners. It’s just fantastic,” he exclaimed.

“We’ve sold a few division one winning entries over the years. The last division one winning entry we sold was about this time three years ago! It was a $10 million Oz Lotto win!

“When I saw he had sold this win it was pure joy! It actually sent my heart racing!”
