Twenty players from Ayr have started the week with a boost to their bank balance after sharing a $1.2 million prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The store syndicate held one of the 16 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4337 on Saturday 11 February 2023. Each division one winning entry scored $1.25 million.

In addition to scoring division one, the syndicate’s System 14 QuickPick entry also scored division three 48 times, division four 420 times and division six 1,120 times, taking the group’s total windfall to $1,298,501.00.

Each member of the syndicate received a winning share worth $64,925.05.

However, some syndicate members may have yet to discover their winning news, prompting lottery officials to encourage players in the region to check their Saturday Gold Lotto tickets today.

Entries into the winning store syndicate were sold at Cignall Burdekin, 152 Queen Street, Ayr.

Cignall Burdekin managers Brad and Danielle Farry said they were decorating their store to celebrate 20 of their customers winning division one.

“This was just a one-off syndicate we created for the weekend’s Superdraw,” Brad explained.

“Customers will be excited about the win. We’ve only been here for less than a year, and this is our first division one win!

“We would like to congratulate all the winners and can’t wait for the next big win!”
