“I’m flabbergastered!”: Balgowlah woman jumping up and down and screaming over $606,000 Lotto win
An energetic Balgowlah woman has responded to the news she won $606,000 in Saturday Lotto with screaming while jumping up and down.
The Sydneysider held one of the nine division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4247, drawn Saturday 2 April 2022. Each scored a division one prize of $606,766.84.
This morning, we reached out to the winner, who initially took some convincing she’d won a division one prize.
“Is this a prank? I’m stunned,” the winning woman questioned.
“Are you sure? This doesn’t feel real! Are you sure you’re not pulling my leg? That would be really mean!
“I had no idea. I’m ecstatic! This win has made me so happy.
“Jesus, this is insane. I’m flabbergastered.
“Goodness me, this is the best phone call I’ve ever received.
“Can you excuse me for one minute while I jump up and down and scream?
“I can’t wait to call my husband and tell him this news. I’ll get him to pick up a bottle of our favourite wine to celebrate tonight. Then, we’ll probably go out for a nice dinner.
“There’s so much around the house that needs to be done. So, that’s the first thing we’ll do with the prize.
“There will be some fun in there too. We’ll do lots of travel overseas and in Australia!”
The winner purchased her marked 14-game entry at North Balgowlah Newsagency, Shop 12 44 Woodbine Street, North Balgowlah.
North Balgowlah Newsagency owner Benjamin Yu said he was over the moon for his local customer.
“How incredible!” he said.
“Congratulations to our lucky winner.
“We’re so happy for the customer. We wish her all the best with her windfall.
“We’re thankful for her support and happy to have helped deliver her a big win.”
