Scepticism has turned into surprise for one Ballarat retiree after the revelation she is now a millionaire from winning division one in TattsLotto’s $30 Million Megadraw 3803, drawn Saturday 30 December.

The thrilled winner was one of 21 division one winners across Australia, who each took home a division one prize of $1,428,571.43.

When a Tatts official called to confirm the news, the disbelieving winner initially didn’t believe the call. 

“Is this a genuine call? I’m not sure? You’ve got me churning a little bit now.” the woman questioned. 

Once the win was confirmed and the woman believed the news she was now a millionaire, she was overcome with emotion. 

“I can’t believe it! I’ve never won anything!” she exclaimed through tears.

“I picked those numbers probably 20 years ago for the family with some birthday numbers and a few other occasions.

“I’ve been playing that ticket for a long time!

“I still can’t believe it! Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would win. I usually just hope to win enough to buy the next week’s ticket.”

When asked how the happy woman planned to spend her TattsLotto Megadraw windfall, she declared she’s always known how she would spend the prize if she won. 

“I always said we’d share it between the family. I’ll probably help out the kids and I need a new car, mine is about 20 years old. I think I’ll shout myself a new car.

“I might look around to buy myself a small unit too.

“I think I just need to take a few moments to sit down with the family and take a few deep breaths! I can’t believe it!”

The regular player, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her 12-game marked entry at Wendouree Newsagency, 1215A Howitt Street, Wendouree.  

Throughout Australia, there were 21 entries that won a division one prize of $1.428 million in the $30 Million Megadraw (draw 3803) on Saturday 30 December 2017. 

Four of the division one winning entries were purchased in Queensland, three from New South Wales, five from Victoria, two from Tasmania, two from South Australia, and five from Western Australia.

The six winning numbers in the $30 Million Megadraw (draw 3803) on Saturday 30 December, 2017 were 6, 30, 9, 35, 27 and 37, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 14. T

he Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 414 so far this calendar year, including 151 won by Tatts customers.
