When we dialled the winning woman this morning to confirm her windfall, she immediately answered the phone in cheer.
“This is awesome – absolutely amazing!” she cheered.
“I woke up on Sunday morning and thought I’d check my TattsLotto ticket. I screamed so much!
“I’ve told my husband, my parents, my in-laws, and my children. It’s absolutely life-changing.
“We celebrated last night. We’re very simple people, so the dinner wasn’t anything special!
“This is perfect timing because we’re going away for Easter next week.
“The holiday will allow us to let the winning news sink in.”
With the $775,000 bounty about to enhance the couple’s plans, the Victorian mum shared it would help set her family up for the future.
“We’re going to pay off the house mortgage and set our kids up,” she shared.
Their winning 24-game QuickPick was purchased at Broadmeadows Lucky Lotto, Shop K16, Broadmeadows Town Centre, 1099-1169 Pascoe Vale Road, Broadmeadows.
Broadmeadows Lucky Lotto owner Hasan Chandrakirana said the division one winning entry was a welcome surprise.
“It’s definitely a life-changing experience for the winner, and the prize would come handy during this time,” he said.
“We’ve had a flurry of division one wins throughout the years, and it’s nice to have changed the lives of another one of our customers.
“Congratulations to the winning family and we wish them all the best with their amazing TattsLotto prize!”
