Confirming their win with us this morning the pensioners revealed they hadn’t slept a wink since discovering their news.
“I couldn’t sleep at all last night,” the woman laughed.
“My head was going round and round like a merry-go-around.
“I’m in shock!
“We checked our ticket yesterday. We can’t believe it!
“It’s turned our lives upside down and inside out.
“This is fantastic. Unbelievable. It’s sinking in very slowly.”
The couple said their new millionaire status would significantly change their plans for retirement.

“I’ve got my heart set on travelling all over the world. We also want to do some charity work and share our win with our family.”
The couple, who wish to remain anonymous, purchased their winning entry at Wurtulla Newsagency, Shop 9, 614 Nicklin Way, Wurtulla.
Wurtulla Newsagency owner Wade Broderick said the outlet had been on a winning streak.
“We’re completely shocked and super excited. We have been eagerly waiting to sell a division one winning entry since taking over the outlet 18 months ago,” he said.
“Just a week ago we also sold a division two winning entry!
“All our amazing customers are extremely happy for us and our lucky winner.
“They are a very deserving couple and we couldn't be happier for them.
“Congratulations to them!”
