A Cartwright man has admitted he lost his breath and struggled to speak after discovering he’d won more than $760,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The Sydneysider held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4399, drawn Saturday 16 September 2023. Each division one entry pocketed $768,013.61.

“Are you serious?!” he exclaimed when we called to confirm his windfall.

“Oh s***! Oh my god I can’t breathe!

“This is life-changing! I’m just at work but I’m not sure I’ll be able to focus for the rest of the day at this rate.

“I’ve been playing these numbers for something like five to ten years, but initially they were just random choices.

“After a couple of draws I decided I’d just continue to play these numbers and they’ve finally paid off.

“First thing I’m doing is calling my wife and telling her she can have whichever car she likes. That will make a big difference to us getting from a to b on a day-to-day basis.

“Then I’ll put the rest of it away and prepare to use it for a home deposit and maybe a few other treats in the future.

“Thank you so much. I can’t believe it!”
