Coomera man’s cherished pups set to be spoiled following $2.5 million Saturday Gold Lotto windfall
A Coomera man who bagged more than $2.5 million win in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw has admitted the first thing he’ll be doing is treating his cherished dogs to a trip to a professional groomer.
The Queenslander held one of the two division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4373, drawn Saturday 17 June 2023 and pocketed a division one prize of $2,537,497.96.
“Jeez! This is beautiful!” the winning man exclaimed when we called to confirm his windfall.
“Normally I’ll just get entries into the Monday and Wednesday draws, but this week I missed out on one of the days!
“I decided to change it up after that and got myself an entry into Saturday’s draw, and I guess the rest is history now.
“It has a bit of ‘meant to be’ about it doesn’t it?
“Everything just seems to have lined up beautifully for me. I don’t really know what to say, I’m just in shock.
“First thing we’ll do is take the dogs to see a professional groomer and get them looking schmick.
“Then who knows? It’s going to take me a little while to figure out what to do with the rest.
“I keep looking at the ticket and the win amount and thinking, ‘that’s just too many bloody numbers, it can’t be real’.
“I guess it is though and I’m so grateful.”
The man’s winning System 8 QuickPick entry was purchased at News Extra Coomera, Shop B1, Coomera City Centre, Corner of Old Coach Road and Days Road, Coomera.
The News Extra Coomera said they were over the moon for their winning customer and wished them all the best for the future.
