An Emerald couple on their way home after a weekend away have been left shocked and shaking after discovering they’d won more than $650,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Central Queensland residents held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4313, drawn Saturday 19 November 2022, and took home a total prize of $650,271.18.

“Are you serious?” the happy husband exclaimed when we called with the winning news.

“This is amazing! I can’t believe this is real!

“I’m standing in Brisbane airport waiting on our flight home and I can’t stop shaking.

“These things just don’t happen to me!

“We’ve been considering retirement for a long time so this is going to be an amazing boost for us.

“It also means we’ll be able to help our children which means the world to us.

“Thank you, I’m about to celebrate with a nice green tea!”

The winning entry was purchased at Wandal Newsagency, 17 Wandal Road, Rockhampton.

The Wandal Newsagency team said they’re over the moon to have sold a division one winning entry and wished their winners all the best.
