A Gympie pensioner has admitted she received the shock of her life while doing the groceries this morning when she discovered she was the region’s mystery division one winner from the recent Saturday Gold Lotto $30 Million Megadraw. 

The woman held one of the 21 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3803 on 30 December 2017. 

Each takes home a division one prize of $1,428,571.43. 

The overwhelmed but excited winner confessed it was only today, nine days after the draw, that she managed to check her ticket and had been oblivious to the fact a division one win had landed in town. 

“I had no idea!” the woman exclaimed when a Golden Casket official confirmed her win. 

“I’m excited, I’m shocked, I didn’t know!  I’m just out doing the groceries. 

“This is the first time I’ve won anything! 

“My birthday is coming up soon – this is a very good early birthday present!” 

While the news of the win was still fresh, the winner said she knew exactly how she would use some of her windfall. 

“I’m going to buy myself a new house!” she declared.  

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 12-game QuickPick from newsXpress Gympie, 47 Mary Street, Gympie. 

newsXpress Gympie Warrick Hosking said he was thrilled one of his customers had discovered the news they were now a millionaire. 

“It’s great news! I’m very happy they’ve been found and they know they’ve won!” he said. 

“I’ve been here since 1985 and we’ve sold about six or seven division one winning entries over that time.  I look forward to selling another one!” 

Throughout Australia, there were 21 entries that won a division one prize of $1.428 million in the $30 Million Megadraw (draw 3803) on Saturday 30 December 2017. Four of the division one winning entries were purchased in Queensland, three from New South Wales, five from Victoria, two from Tasmania, two from South Australia, and five from Western Australia. 

The six winning numbers in the $30 Million Megadraw (draw 3803) on Saturday 30 December, 2017 were 6, 30, 9, 35, 27 and 37, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 14. 

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 233 so far this financial year, including 57 won by Golden Casket customers.
