Hampton grandfather’s wildest dream comes true with $4 million TattsLotto win
A tired but excited Hampton grandfather says he hasn’t slept for days after checking his TattsLotto ticket to discover he’s a multi-millionaire.
The local man held the only division one winning entry nationally in TattsLotto draw 4033, drawn Saturday 14 March 2020, taking home a division one prize of $4,139,044.82.
Confirming his win with us, the Melbourne dad relived the moment he made the discovery.
“Thank you!” he laughed.
“My wife and I haven’t slept for days!
“It’s so exciting! We just can’t believe it.
“I went completely numb when I checked the ticket. It’s absolutely unbelievable.
“We are so thrilled, never in our wildest dreams did we think this would happen!
“It’s amazing!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his multi-million-dollar windfall, the overwhelmed dad said it would be life-changing to many people.
“I’ll be able to use this prize to get rid of a few people’s debts, I can promise you that,” he laughed.
“It will make our life much more comfortable.
“And I think it may very well be time for retirement, there’s every possibility of that!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning System 10 QuickPick at Hampton Newsagency, 345 Hampton Street, Hampton.
Hampton Newsagency owner Jim Theodore said it was always great knowing someone in the community had won a life-changing prize.
“All our customers are so excited and happy for the winner,” he said.
“We’re all dreaming about how this winner will enjoy their prize!
“We’ve sold 18 division one winning entries over the past 30 years and the excitement never ends.
