A Holmview man feels he has a new lease on life after becoming a millionaire in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Gold Coast resident held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4359 on Saturday 29 April 2023. His total prize was $1,052,589.03.

“I’m on top of the world! Absolutely on top of the world,” the winning man exclaimed when we called to confirm his win.

“I was actually awake at about 2am on Sunday for some reason. I saw there was a message from The Lott in my emails.

“I logged into my account, but I didn’t have my glasses on, so I thought I saw $1,052. I thought, ‘Oh, over one thousand dollars will come in handy. I’m going to find it difficult to get back to sleep after that excitement’.

“Then I realised there were more numbers, and it was actually a one-million-dollar win. Well, I’m not going to be able to sleep for days!

“This will be absolutely life-changing for me. It’s come at the best time.

“I’m actually finding it difficult not to cry. It’s such a life-changing event. I’ve been thinking about the next chapter of my life, and this gives me time to reflect and relax.

“It’s funny, I had a feeling when the lady handed me the ticket that this was going to be a winner, and I was right!”

The winning Queenslander’s 50-game QuickPick entry was purchased at The Lucky Charm Holmview, Shop 6, 318-322 Logan River Road, Holmview.
