Four days after the winning numbers were drawn, a Northern Beaches mum has discovered she’s now more than $1.4 million richer after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $20 million Superdraw.

The happy winner had one of 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto’s $20 million Superdraw, draw 3841 on 12 May 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $1,428,571.43.

Despite NSW Lotteries attempts to notify the winner of their dream-come-true news, it wasn’t until this afternoon the woman checked her online account.

Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official immediately after her discovery, the woman couldn’t hide her excitement.

“I can’t believe it! I just can’t believe it!  It is amazing. Amazing,” she laughed.

“I’m so, so happy.

“I can’t wait to let my husband know! Oh my goodness.  He will be so excited. It has taken the pressure off everything.

“I always play and my husband has always said to me ‘you’re going to win Lotto. You’re such a lucky person so keep getting a ticket’.  I’ve always said I’m lucky anyway – lucky in life with a wonderful husband and family.  So now I’m even luckier!

“This is unreal. I’ll remember this day for a long, long time.”

The winner plans to use her Lotto prize to pay off the mortgage, clearing the
way for holidays and other treats for her family.

The woman, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning 36-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The six winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 3841 on Saturday 12 May 2018 were 12, 17, 38, 31, 6 and 14.  The supplementary numbers were 34 and 32.

Across Australia there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 3841 – seven from Victoria, three from New South Wales, and one each from Queensland, South Australia, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

Of the 14 division one winning entries, four were held by syndicates.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 373 so far this financial year, including 112 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
