“I nearly spilled my coffee!”: Point Cook man’s shock at $2.8 million TattsLotto win
A Point Cook man is still coming to grips with the revelation he became an overnight multi-millionaire in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The ecstatic winner held one of seven division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto’s $20 million Superdraw 3889, drawn Saturday 27 October 2018, with each division one winning entry taking home $2,857,142.86.
Speaking with us this morning, the man recounted the moment he discovered he held a TattsLotto division one winning ticket.
“I’m over the moon at the moment,” he declared.
“I checked my ticket Sunday morning using the app and I nearly spilt my coffee when I did.
“I was just in shock then and I’m still a bit shocked now.”
While his bank account will soon balloon with his multi-million dollar TattsLotto prize, the man said he won’t be ditching his job just yet.
“I’ll keep working. I like what I do,” he said.
“I’m going to invest most of this and the rest goes to family and friends. I might get a new car – maybe a Mustang!”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 15-game QuickPick entry at Central Lotto, Shop 14, Central Square Shopping Centre, 1 Central Avenue, Altona Meadows.
