Lifelong mates from Ingle Farm cry tears of joy after discovering Saturday X Lotto win!
A group of lifelong mates from Ingle Farm cried tears of joy when they discovered their private syndicate won division one in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.
The private syndicate held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4001, drawn Saturday 23 November 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $577,792.94.
We called the syndicate leader this afternoon, who recalled the moment she discovered their win.
“I was going through my emails yesterday and it said I had a major win, so I scanned my ticket online and that’s when I saw it was division one,” she laughed.
“I burst into tears! I just couldn’t believe it was real.
“I went and woke up my husband and told him. He didn’t believe me, so I told him to scan the ticket and his jaw just dropped.
“Our heads were a mess. We couldn’t believe it.
“We checked the ticket so many times. We couldn’t stop shaking, we are so excited.
“This is just so amazing because we buy this ticket with our lifelong friends. It’s a private syndicate, so we will be sharing this with them.
“There’s no nicer people than them, so I am so glad we get to share it.
“We called them yesterday and told them. They thought we were joking, but once they realised we weren’t, they started crying.
“We went out for lunch yesterday to celebrate and we said when the money is in our accounts, we will go do something together to celebrate. We might even go away for a weekend!
“I couldn’t stop smiling yesterday! I would be talking to someone and then I’d look at my husband and remember the win and we’d just start smiling at each other.
“I don’t think this feeling will ever fade! I feel amazing.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her share of the prize, the overjoyed woman said she knew exactly what she would do with it.
“We spent all yesterday planning what we are going to do with our share,” she explained.
“We have decided we are going to share it with our family, upgrade the home, donate to a few charities and go on a holiday overseas.
“This is going to be lifechanging for our friends too. It’s lifechanging for all of us.”
The winning entry was purchased at Ingle Farm Newsagency, Shop 2010 Ingle Farm Shopping Centre, 98 Montague Road, Ingle Farm.
Ingle Farm Newsagency owner Vas Silva said the outlet was celebrating selling a division one winning entry.
“When I saw we sold division one, I had to do a double take, I just couldn’t believe what I was seeing,” she said.
“We are so excited, and we have decorated the outlet in celebration.
“We have such a lovely community here at Ingle Farm, so all of our customers are so happy for our winner and for us.
“We really feel like we are a winner too!
“This is the first time we have sold a division one winning entry and we can’t wait to sell another.
“We wish our winners lots of joy and we hope they have a wonderful Christmas.”
