A pair of Mackay grandparents have been left in a state of shock after discovering they’d bagged a life-enhancing $929,000 win in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The North Queensland residents held one of the six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4331, drawn Saturday 21 January 2023. Their winning entry scored a total prize of $929,244.83.

“Oh, my goodness! I’m shaking like a leaf!” the winning woman exclaimed when confirming her win with us.

“We’ve been playing Saturday Gold Lotto for years and years, but we never expected to win anything like this!

“I can’t even process what this means for us right now. I’m just absolutely gobsmacked. Is this even real?

“My mind is racing, but I already know that we’ll put this win to good use and share it with our children and grandchildren.

“It’s going to change more lives than just ours.

“I can’t believe it. Thank you so much!

“This has made our year, and it’s only January!”

Their winning 24-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Nextra Caneland News & Gift, Shop 2066, Caneland Central, 2 Mangrove Road, Mackay.
