A Maryborough couple has kick-started their week with the incredible discovery that they’d won more than $800,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Fraser Coast retirees were among six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4267, drawn Saturday 11 June 2022. Each winning entry scored a division one prize of $868,291.68.

The couple were unaware of their life-enhancing win when we contacted them this morning, but disbelief quickly became jubilation once they checked their entry.

“No, you’re joking! Really?” they asked.

“This can’t be real. It’s actually unbelievable.

“Oh my god. We’ve won division one!

“Well, this changes things a little bit, doesn’t it?

“What a shock on a Monday morning. We’ll have to start looking for a new home now. That’s the first thing on our list.

“I’m still struggling to come to grips with the news.

“We never check our tickets because we never expect to win a lot. This is absolutely incredible.

“Thank you so much!”
