The ten members of the long-running “Tamborine Millions” syndicate have millions of reasons to smile this morning after their syndicate won more than $2.25 million in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto Superdraw.

The Queensland syndicate entry was one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3933, drawn Saturday 30 March 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $2,222,222.23.

In addition to winning division one, the 12-year-old syndicate’s System 10 entry also won division three 24 times and division four 90 times, bolstering the syndicate's total prize to $2,251,563.43.

Each member of the syndicate receives a share worth $225,156.34.

The winning syndicate was sold at North Tamborine Newsagency, Shop B2, 17-27 Main Western Road, North Tamborine.

North Tamborine Newsagency owner Jan O’Neill said she was ecstatic their long-running, weekly store syndicate “Tamborine Millions” had finally won division one.

“We’ve had this syndicate going forever!” she laughed.

“We’ve had the newsagency for 12 years, and it’s been running since we took over so this win has been a long time coming!

“Most of the syndicate members have come in this morning and they can’t contain their excitement.

“They really can’t believe the syndicate has won division one.

“The same 10 people pretty much always buy a share in the syndicate.

“It’s always bought by ten of our regular, local customers who mostly work around here.

“The prize will go to great use.”

It’s the first time North Tamborine Newsagency has sold a division one winning entry.

“We’ve sold plenty of division two winning entries over the past decade but this is the first time we’ve sold a division one winning entry and we’re so glad it’s our syndicate,” Jan O’Neill.

“This is great for our store and it’s fantastic for the local community.

“I’m so glad it has gone to locals and we wish them all the best with their prize.”
