Mornington dad reeling from million-dollar TattsLotto morning surprise
A Mornington dad’s last-minute decision to check his ticket while on his way to work this morning has yielded him a million-dollar TattsLotto shock.
The Melbourne man held one of the four division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4007, drawn Saturday 14 December 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,048,502.09.
Speaking to us moments after checking his ticket, the man confessed he was still reeling from the division one revelation.
“Oh my god!” he exclaimed.
“Thank you! That’s amazing. I never expected anything like this. Never! Never! I would have been happy with $10,000, let alone a $1 million.
“This is going to change things for sure for us!
“Merry Christmas! It’s lovely.
“I had no idea. I was just walking past the agent and thought I would check my ticket.
“I’m about to log in and work.”
The happy winner said he couldn’t wait to break the life-changing news to his family.
“They won’t believe me. I wind them up all the time,” he laughed.
“This is going to fast track our plans for retirement and travel.
“We had a plan but things will just happen a lot quicker now and I’ll be able to help my kids a lot.
“It’s amazing.
“It’s just hit me. It’s wonderful.”
The ecstatic man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Bentons Square News & Lotto, Shop 26, Bentons Square Shopping Centre, 210 Dunns Road, Mornington East.
Bentons Square News & Lotto owner Jeffrey Baldwin said he was happily sharing his outlet’s winning news with his customers.
“It was wonderful news. We haven’t had a winner for four years. It means so much,” he said.
“It’s a numbers game, but it’s lovely to have a winner.
“We are so excited!”
