Pakenham tradie eyes retirement with TattsLotto division one win
A Pakenham tradie in his 50s might be downing tools for good after today discovering he won division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The man held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3941 on 27 April 2019. Each division one winning entry takes home a division one prize of $979,483.89.
Despite our numerous attempts to deliver the dream-come-true news, it wasn’t until this afternoon the Victorian winner answered his phone and discovered his good fortune.
“Holy sh**!” he exclaimed when his win was confirmed.
“For that sort of money, I’m out of here. Jesus! I think I might retire.
“I’ve been busy working all day. I had no idea!
“I’ve been playing for years using the same numbers each time. I got my family to help pick the numbers – birthdates and things like that – and just stuck with them.
“Mate, this is so good. Unreal.”
When asked what he might do with his TattsLotto prize, the Victorian winner had no hesitation.
“It’s going to fix me and my missus up for retirement. We’ll pay of the house and be mortgage free… and I’ll buy a bigger boat,” he laughed.
“I’m going to have a hard time concentrating this afternoon thinking about it all.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 12-game marked entry at Pakenham Central Marketplace, Kiosk 1, Pakenham Central, 50-54 John Street, Pakenham.
Pakenham Central Marketplace co-manager Sharon Fisher said the outlet was still celebrating having a division one win land in her outlet.
“We were so excited and happy for the winner when we discovered the news,” she said.
“Our customers are also thrilled for the winner and delighted that we finally sold a division one win.
“We hope that the winner has a great life with his money and that it will help him and his family.”
