A Pelican Waters woman has confessed she’s not sure what her future holds but believes it will be full of fun after her $580,000 win in the Easter weekend Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

The Sunshine Coast resident held one of the nine division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4353, drawn Saturday 8 April 2023. Her winning entry scored a total prize of $582,463.60.

“Well, it seems there’s a first time for everything isn’t there!” the winner laughed when we confirmed her windfall.

“I’ve never entertained the thought that I could win division one, but it’s a great feeling.

“I need some time to think now!

“I honestly have no idea what to do with the win but I’m sure I’m going to find something fun to do with it in the future.

“It’s going to give me some security and the ability to do a lot. Travel, buy what I like, see new things; the world is my oyster.

“What a wonderful Easter it was and this is just the cherry on top.”

The winning woman’s entry was purchased at Pelican Waters Newsagency, Shop 10, Pelican Waters Shopping Village, 44 Pelican Waters Boulevard, Pelican Waters.

Pelican Waters Newsagency owners Mark and Lynda Stringer said they were over the moon for their winning customer.

“We’re so excited! There’s lots of excitement around the community and we’ve got posters and balloons up celebrating the win,” they said.
