Pointy end of the plane for Eaglehawk man after $2 million TattsLotto win
An Eaglehawk man is looking forward to travelling everywhere in first class after winning over $2 million in last Saturday’s TattsLotto $20 million Superdraw.
The man held one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3873 on Saturday 1 September 2018. Each entry took home a division one prize of $2,222,222.23.
As well as winning division one, the Bendigo winner also won division six, bolstering his total prize to $2,222,235.98.
The thrilled man was still reeling from the discovery of the win when a Tatts official called to confirm the win.
“It’s a bit of a madhouse around here!” he exclaimed.
“Unreal. Oh my god! Thank you!
“I don’t believe it. I checked my online account and I thought it must have been a mistake. I got a friend over to check the computer. I did not sleep all night.
“It’s unbelievable – I couldn’t believe it! I can’t even fathom it!”
Once the news had sunk in, the winner revealed how he planned to spend his TattsLotto windfall.
“I want to find a way to keep this good luck going. I’m certainly not going to blow it all,” the thrilled man said.
“First thing I am going to do is get a financial advisor. I’d like to help my kids, pay off my car and then maybe buy a house.
“Then I’ll take a holiday, not sure where I’ll go, but I’ll go everywhere. I’ve never been first class so I might have to try that!”
The man also confessed to purchasing his entry on a whim.
“I just can’t believe it. I do not usually buy a ticket but I thought I’d grab one this week,” he explained.
“I only bought an $8 entry. I can’t believe it!”
The thrilled winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his 12-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com, Australia’s official lotteries.
