A Port Pirie man is excited to spend more of his retirement going fishing, after winning more than $690,000 in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw. 

The South Australian player held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4021 on Saturday 1 February 2020. Each division one winning entry takes home a prize of $692,782.72. 

We called the man this morning, who admitted he was still struggling to comprehend the news. 

“Thank you so much!” he laughed.

“I found out on Sunday morning! I was completely shocked.

“It’s surreal!

“I don’t know how to feel. I feel so weird! 

“I told everyone and they were so stoked for me. 

“They came over and we celebrated all day. It was pretty crazy!” 

When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the stoked bloke declared he had a few ideas. 

“I recently retired, so this will go towards my retirement,” he explained. 

“I want to go on a few fishing charters as well.

“It really has come at the best time!”
