Redland Bay man’s dream of owning his own home now a reality following $775,000 Saturday Gold Lotto win
A Redland Bay man is ready to quit renting and begin life as a homeowner after bagging more than $775,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Queensland resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4351, drawn Saturday 1 April 2023 and took home a total division one prize of $775,265.76.
“This is a massive boost for me and my family!” the winning man exclaimed when we confirmed his incredible windfall.
“Oh my god, we can stop renting and actually purchase our own home!
“That’s all we’ve ever wanted!
“We won’t stop working yet, but this is going to change our lives.
“I’m just trying to stay calm right now because this is so overwhelming.
“My wife and I were just watching TV on Saturday night, so she checked the winning numbers and just started yelling.
“I thought she was joking; it was April the first after all!
“It’s starting to sink in now, but I can’t thank you enough. This is the greatest thing ever.”
His winning 18-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Redland Bay Newsagency, corner of Stradbroke and Broadwater Street, Shop 29, Redland Bay Shopping Centre, Redland Bay.
Redland Bay Newsagency manager Frederick Lang said he and the team were ecstatic to have sold a division one winning entry.
“This is our second division one win in the past decade, so understandably we’re all over the moon!” he said.
