Confirming the win with us this morning, the syndicate leader explained she and her workmates had been sharing a lottery entry for many years.
“That’s beautiful! How lovely!” she exclaimed.
“This syndicate has been running for about three years now. It’s been a group of seven of us girls at work!
“What a nice surprise on my Monday morning! I’ll have to reveal the exciting news to all of them today. We had no idea!
“It’s wonderful timing as I’m going on holiday this month – it’s really boosted the trip!
“I’ve also been wanting to upgrade my car. I’ll have to treat myself!
“I’m not sure what the rest of the group will spend their prize on, but we will definitely celebrate as a group.”
Their winning System 8 entry was purchased at Manor Lakes News & Lotto, Shop 14 Manor Lakes Central, 455 Ballan Road, Wyndham Vale.
Manor Lakes News & Lotto owner Raj Sharma said the team was elated to have sold a division one winning entry to a group of locals.
“When I saw that our store had sold a division one winning entry on Saturday, my heart starting racing! It feels like I’ve won myself, and I’m still on cloud nine,” he said.
“We will be celebrating this milestone by decorating our store with balloons and streamers, and by sharing the exciting news with customers. Chocolate is on the house!
“We’ve sold a division one winning entry on six occasions, and interestingly, we’ve sold 31 division two winning entries in the last five years.
“Congratulations to our winners, and we hope it changes their lives in a very positive way! Enjoy your win!
“We’d love to use this opportunity to thank everyone who has given us the chance to change our customers’ lives. It’s so satisfying to see a winning smile on their faces.”
