A Tallebudgera man had to ‘play it cool’ during his weekend shift after checking his Saturday Gold Lotto ticket at work and discovering his exhilarating $2 million windfall.

The Gold Coast resident held one of the 15 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4375, drawn Saturday 24 June 2023 and took home a total prize of $2 million.

Speaking with us this morning, the gleeful Queenslander was still trying to come to terms with the fact he’s a newly made multi-millionaire.

“That’s amazing,” he shared.

“I saw the win on The Lott app while I was at work. The first thought that popped into my head was, ‘Is it real?’. I logged on about three or four times to check.

“I had to blur it out of my mind, but it was quite hard to.

“As soon as I came home, I found the ticket and gave it another check.

“That’s when it hit me. It’s awesome!

“I’ve been playing on and off for a while. We just buy tickets now and then.

“It’s hard to process at the moment. I can’t comprehend it.

“Two million dollars will make a significant difference for my family.

“We will definitely go out for some celebratory drinks tonight!”

His winning 36-game QuickPick was purchased at Spar Express Tallebudgera, Shop 5, 7 Trees Road, Tallebudgera.
