Tarneit man to take on another continent with $660,000 TattsLotto windfall
A Tarneit man itching to treat his family to an overseas holiday can now look forward to booking flights and time off, after scoring $660,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Melburnian held one of the eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4333, drawn Saturday 28 January 2023 and takes home $661,518.90.
His newfound fortune was a welcome surprise on Sunday morning, when he checked his TattsLotto tickets on The Lott app.
“I’m kind of speechless!” he laughed.
“That’s fantastic! It’s definitely life-changing!
“I discovered the win yesterday morning when I was playing around on my phone. I realised I hadn’t checked my ticket from Saturday, so I logged on to The Lott app to have a look.
“Initially, I thought I had won only division seven. It said I had a win on my TattsLotto ticket, but it looked the same to winning something small, so I didn’t think much of it.
“When I opened the ticket up, it came up with $660,000! I said to my wife, ‘I don’t understand!’. I even checked the ticket against the results.
“I really wanted to confirm the winning news with The Lott before I got my hopes up! Now that it’s confirmed, I can’t believe it.
“My wife is sitting next to me and she’s still struggling to believe the news!
“I’ve been wanting to take the kids to America for a holiday, and now I can!
“We will pay off the mortgage too.
“We will definitely see a financial advisor to make the most out of our prize.
“Thank you so much.”
His winning 24-game Quickpick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
