We’re expecting up to one-in-three Australian adults to have their hands on a ticket in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw as they vie for the chance to start 2021 as a millionaire.

But which numbers should feature on your entry? That’s the million-dollar question.

Should you pick frequently drawn numbers in hopes they come up again, or should you choose numbers that have proved a little shy? And if that choice is too much, you could always let the universe decide for you and opt for a QuickPick.

While Saturday Lotto is a game of chance and every number has an equal chance of being drawn, we’ve crunched the numbers and can reveal the most frequently and least frequently drawn numbers for Saturday Lotto during the past 35 years.

The most frequently drawn, or ‘hot’, numbers during this time were 1, 11, 8 and 40.

Meanwhile, the least frequently drawn, or ‘cold’ numbers were 44, 30, 14 and 17

Will Saturday Lotto’s ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ numbers live up to their reputation on Saturday night? Only time will tell!

We know some people will be marking their entry with their favourite numbers, and perhaps even some of these hot and cold numbers, while others will simply let the lottery terminal do the work and determine the numbers on their ticket for them.

However you decide to choose your numbers for this Saturday’s draw, if you have a ticket in your hand, you’re in with a chance.

In previous years, the Megadraw has created more millionaires in a single night than any other draw. The last Megadraw saw 11 division one winning entries share the $30 million jackpot, with each entry enjoying a $2.7 million prize. Imagine kick-starting 2021 with a few extra zeros in your bank account!

For anyone buying an entry, we recommend that you register your entry to a player card or online account. This means your prize is secure and we can call you with the amazing news should you be holding a division one winning entry.

The Saturday Lotto $30 Million Megadraw, Saturday Lotto draw 4117, will take place on Saturday 2 January 2021.

Tickets can be purchased at your local lottery outlet, online or via The Lott mobile app before the draw close at 7.30pm AEST.
