Yallambie man yields $650,000 TattsLotto win in time for Christmas
A Yallambie man who called his wife in a frenzy after answering a phone call he suspected was a scam was delighted to later discover it was lottery officials revealing his $650,000 TattsLotto win.
The Victorian man held one of the eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4313, drawn Saturday 19 November 2022 and takes home $650,280.03.
“S***! That’s unbelievable!” the winning man laughed when we revealed his newfound fortune.
“Honestly, I thought it was a scam.
“I always receive scam calls, so I immediately assumed you were a scam caller when you initially called while I was driving in my car.
“When I finally got to my destination, I received a text message and an email about a potential major lottery win.
“That’s when I frantically called my wife to check our online account to see if we had won anything.
“She went straight onto our laptop and logged on. The next thing I knew, she told me we won $650,000 and you weren’t a scam caller all along.
“I’m in shock! I’ve played TattsLotto on and off for most of my life. I’d say for 30 years!
“Thank you so much for persisting!”
With $650,000 about to land into his bank account right before Christmas, the Melburnian shared it would go towards his nearest and dearest.
“We will help the kids, that’s for sure!” he shared.
“We’ll look to pay off the house mortgage too and maybe have an overseas family holiday in the future.”
Their winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased online on thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
