Yorke Peninsula man and faithful border collies to cruise in style with $760,000 X Lotto win
A Yorke Peninsula man and his beloved border collies are set to ride in style with a brand-new sleek Ute after landing $760,000 in the weekend’s X Lotto draw.
The South Australian resident held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4399, drawn Saturday 16 September 2023 and pocketed $768,013.61.
The regular player was going about his usual Monday morning until we reached out to him and pleasantly turned his day upside down.
“Oh my! Woah!” he laughed.
“Oh wow. I had absolutely no idea.
“That’s a day-maker! Thank you, thank you!
“I play every now and then – maybe once a month!
“The entry is a QuickPick but I always make sure my lucky number 28 is included in the ticket.
“We were thinking of buying a new Ute, and we didn’t know if it was within our reach. But we certainly can now!
“We want to buy something that we can cart our dogs in. We’ve got border collies.
“This is wonderful. Thank you so much.”
When asked how they’d celebrate their lottery windfall, the winning man and his wife disclosed their festivities would commence immediately.
“Forget celebrating tonight, we’re going to start the celebrations now!” he cheered.
“What a morning!”
His winning 50-game QucikPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
