Two weeks to go to claim $1.6 million TattsLotto prize: It’s time to check your tickets Tasmania
It’s been 170 days since a mystery Tasmanian shopper won a TattsLotto prize of more than $1.6 million and despite the wait, we haven’t lost hope of uniting the unsuspecting winner with their prize.
The oblivious millionaire holds one of the 12 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3995, drawn Saturday 2 November 2019. The entry won a division one prize of $1,666,666.67.
The ticket is unregistered, so we have no way of contacting the winner with the life-changing news and have been waiting for the ticketholder to come forward to claim their prize.
The winning entry was purchased at Latrobe Newsagency, 90 Gilbert Street, Latrobe.
Once the deadline to claim the prize from us passes, the player must apply to claim their prize from the Tasmanian Department of Treasury and Finance.
Latrobe Newsagency team member Janine Hinds said she was still hoping to unite the winner with their prize.
“We haven’t heard anything from any of our customers, but we are still encouraging everyone to check their tickets!” she exclaimed.
“We always remind players of the need to register their tickets, letting them know that we still have a division one win that hasn’t been claimed.
“It’s a great reminder that if only the player had registered their ticket, they would already be enjoying their $1.6 million win!
“We hope they come forward soon so they can enjoy their prize!”
We are eager to discover who the winner is or where they could be. Is it a Latrobe local or someone who just happened to buy their ticket in the area?
What we do know is they only have another two weeks left to claim their prize directly from us and we’re urging everyone to scour the home, office and car for any unchecked lottery tickets.
People tell us they find their winning tickets in the most unusual places, from a car glovebox to the bottom of a reusable shopping bag. We’ve also heard stories of tickets hiding in plain sight like on the fridge or in a player’s wallet.
If you do find an old TattsLotto ticket laying around make sure you check the ticket number on the Lott website, scan the ticket via the Lott app or visit your local retailer to see if you are holding a winner.
If you realise you’re the Latrobe division one winner we’re looking for, hold on tight to that ticket and give us a call immediately on 131 868 to confirm the win and start the prize claim process!
