Carrum Downs man kept wide awake by the endless possibilities of his $1.4 million TattsLotto win
A Carrum Downs man has confessed he couldn’t sleep a wink last night as his mind raced from all the possibilities of his $1.4 million TattsLotto win.
The Victorian held one of the four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4287 drawn Saturday 20 August 2022. Each division one winning entry scored $1,413,555.61.
When we spoke to the winning Melburnian this morning, he admitted he was still in bed.
“I haven’t really slept. I’m just too excited,” he laughed.
“My wife rang me yesterday and said to me, ‘check your ticket’. She’d seen something on Facebook about a win in the area.
“I said, ‘Don’t be stupid! We don’t win these types of things.’. So, I just kept working.
“I was about to go home when I remembered to check my ticket. Sure enough, I was the winner!
“I couldn’t stop shaking! It’s something you dream of but never think will happen.
“This means a lot to us. Gee, where do I start? I’ll keep working; I’ll go mad if I don’t. But I won’t work as hard.
“We’ll pay off the mortgage and be debt-free… woohoo!
“I can also buy my wife a brand new car and help the kids out.
“I can’t believe it. It’s just beautiful!”
The man’s winning entry was purchased at Ballarto Road News & Tatts, Shop 7, 335 Ballarto Road, Carrum Downs.
Ballarto Road News & Tatts owner Shal Sapra said his outlet was celebrating the win.
“It’s just awesome!” he exclaimed.
“We’ve been decorating the store and letting our customers know we’ve had a big win.
“Everyone is so excited for the lucky winner, and we wish him all the very best with his prize.”
