Latest Oz Lotto millionaire found, but new Sydney mystery millionaire at large
The winner of Sydney’s $3.3 million Oz Lotto prize has come forward to collect their life-changing windfall after intense speculation as to their whereabouts.
The new millionaire was one of three division one winners nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1209 on Tuesday 18 April 2017, with each taking home a division one prize of $3,333,333.34.
The other two division one winners were from the ACT and the Northern Territory.
While the winner came forward this morning, we may never know exactly who stepped forward to claim the prize because they have chosen to remain completely anonymous.
They purchased their ticket from Five Dock Newsagency, Shop 1A, 125 Great North Road, Five Dock.
New mystery Sydney millionaire created last night But another mystery millionaire has been created in Sydney overnight, with another unregistered NSW Lotteries customer winning a neat $1 million in last night’s Monday and Wednesday Lotto.
The latest winning entry was purchased at Beverly Hills Stationery News, 14 Tooronga Terrace, Beverly Hills.
It was one of two division one winners in last night’s Monday and Wednesday Lotto draw 3653 on Wednesday 19 April 2017 who each won the guaranteed division one prize of $1 million.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said the latest flurry of Sydney lotto wins confirmed the capital’s reputation as a lotto hotspot.
“While lotto is a random game of chance, we have seen a number of lotto wins land in Sydney lately. In addition to the recent Oz Lotto and Monday & Wednesday Lotto wins, Sydney residents have recently been on the receiving end of a Set for Life 1st Prize and a number of Lucky Lotteries 1st Prizes.
“Along with last night’s $1 million Monday & Wednesday Lotto win, we have a number of million-dollar prizes from Sydney entries that are waiting to be claimed.
“We’ve got millions of reasons why it would pay for you to clean up around the home or car and check any old lotto tickets!
“We recommend anyone who believes they are holding a winning ticket to keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.
” The six winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3653 on Wednesday 19 April 2017 were 7, 1, 5, 31, 27 and 22.The supplementary numbers were 33 and 45. The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 322 so far this financial year, including 87 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
Other unclaimed New South Wales division one lotto prizes Last night’s unregistered win joins three other lotto prizes won by Sydney customers worth millions of dollars that remain unclaimed.
An unregistered Sydney resident or visitor who won Set for Life in February 2017 has yet to come forward to claim their ongoing prize of $20,000 a month for 20 years.
The 1st Prize winning Set for Life entry for draw 565 on 21 February 2017 was bought from St George Tobacconist, 15 Railway Parade, Kogarah.
Another Sydney division one prize of $2 million was won in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3106 on 23 January 2012.
The unregistered ticket was purchased from Office N News, Shop 1, Gladesville Shopping Centre, Flagstaff Street, Gladesville.
A division one prize of $400,009.97 from Saturday Lotto draw 3447 on 2 August 2014 is also waiting to be claimed.
This prize was won with an entry purchased at Henry Deane Plaza Newsagency, Shop 11 in Henry Deane Plaza, 2 Lee Street, Sydney CBD.
