Mystery Sydney player wins more than $3.3 million in Oz Lotto
What would you do with more than $3.3 million?
That’s the question NSW Lotteries officials are waiting to ask a Sydney resident or visitor who bought a winning entry in last night’s Oz Lotto draw, but has yet to come forward to claim their prize.
The new millionaire was one of three division one winners nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1209 on Tuesday 18 April 2017, with each taking home a division one prize of $3,333,333.34.
The other two division one winners were from the ACT and the Northern Territory.
NSW Lotteries is calling on customers to check any Lotto tickets they bought from Five Dock Newsagency, Shop 1A, 125 Great North Road, Five Dock.
NSW Lotteries spokesperson Matt Hart said the division one winning ticket was not registered to a Players Club card so officials had no clues or contact details for the mysterious missing winner.
“Our missing millionaire could be a local resident or someone who bought the entry while visiting the region. We don’t know who yet, but we’d love to unite the winner with their $3.3 million windfall,” he said.
“With more than $3.3 million to be claimed, it could pay for you to have a clean-up around the house, car or anywhere else you stash Lotto tickets.
“We recommend anyone who believes they are holding the division one winning entry to keep it in a safe place and contact NSW Lotteries as soon as possible on 131 868 to start the prize claim process.”
Five Dock Newsagency owner Sally Tadros said the outlet was celebrating selling a division one winning entry.
“We sold a big division two winning entry a few years ago but this is the biggest prize of recent years! It’s awesome!” she exclaimed.
“We can’t wait for the customer to check their ticket and discover the big news for themselves! We’re ready to celebrate with them!”
The six winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1209 on Wednesday 19 April 2017 were 42, 13, 33, 44, 39, 29 and 27. The supplementary numbers were 15 and 31.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 320 so far this financial year, including 85 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
