A Melton man has confessed replacing his carpet is the first thing on his to-do list after scoring a division one prize worth over $508,000 in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw. 

The thrilled winner held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4055, drawn Saturday 30 May 2020.

Each entry took home a division one prize of $502,546.00.

As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the regular player’s System 7 entry also scored division three 6 times and division four 3 times, bolstering his total prize to $508,779.70. 

Speaking to us this morning, the overjoyed winner recounted the moment he discovered the win. 

“I was visiting my family when I checked my numbers first thing Sunday morning,” he explained. 

“I said to my sister ‘I think I’ve got five numbers here!’. We got so excited, so we decided to check them again. 

“That’s when I realised I had all six numbers and that I’d won division one! 

“It certainly put a smile on my face!” 

When asked how he planned to enjoy his windfall, the stoked bloke wasted no time listing the items on his to-do list that would soon be checked off thanks to the win. 

“I’m going to replace my carpets!” he declared. 

“I might even get new floorboards instead. Then I will use a bit of it to renovate my bathroom and get a nice walk-in shower. The kitchen cupboards will be updated too. 

“I’m going to put a fair bit of it aside for my future and then I’ll share the rest with my family.” 

The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his marked System 7 entry at Woodgrove Lotto, Shop K002, Woodgrove Shopping Centre, 533-555 High Street, Melton West.

Woodgrove Lotto manager Krishna Kumari said she was thrilled one of her customers had scored a major prize. 

“We’ve decorated the store and will be telling all of our customers we’ve sold a division one winning entry!” she exclaimed. 

“All of our customers will be thrilled for our winner – as are we! 

“It’s great to be able to share good news during this time of social isolation and it’s fantastic to be able to bring happiness to our customers. 

“This is the third division one winning entry we’ve sold since 2017. The last was just a couple of weeks ago.
