Kallangur woman struggles to convince hubby of $1.4 million Gold Lotto win
A Kallangur woman has struggled to convince her husband about their monumental $1.4 million Saturday Gold Lotto windfall despite confirming the win with us.
The Moreton Bay resident held one of the seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4315, drawn Saturday 26 November 2022. Each entry takes home $1,428,571.43.
“Oh my god. I can’t believe it!” she laughed when we confirmed her newfound fortune.
“I found out on Sunday morning, and I woke my husband up in hysteria!
“He turned to me and said, ‘No way! This is a scam! It’s not possible for us to win $1.4 million!’.
“To this day, he is still struggling to believe the winning news.
“It’s my weekly routine to buy a Saturday Gold Lotto ticket and an Instant Scratch-Its ticket with my groceries. Funnily enough, my husband always says to me, ‘You better bring home a winner!’.
“There’s no doubt that he’ll believe the winning news once it hits the bank account.
“You have no idea how life-changing this is for us. It’s mind-blowing.
“I’ve been playing on and off my entire life, but mainly the last 12 months.
“I’m still in shock!”
With $1.4 million about to boost their bank account before Christmas, the Queenslander said it would go towards a new home.
“We would love to purchase a family home!” she exclaimed.
“It’s going to be a great Christmas too!”
Her winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at News Extra Lillybrook, Shop 20 Lilly Brook Shopping Centre, 118 Old Gympie Road, Kallangur.
