Maryborough man’s $2 million Gold Lotto win feels too good to be true
Maryborough’s newest multi-millionaire is still pinching himself, certain that any minute now he’ll wake up and discover his $2 million Saturday Gold Lotto win was just a wild daydream.
The Fraser Coast resident held one of the 10 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4515, drawn Saturday 26 October 2024 and takes home a neat $2 million.
While the Queenslander discovered his newfound fortune on the weekend, he was still struggling to come to terms with the enormity of this win days later.
“It’s so exciting,” he shared.
“I tend to dabble in Saturday Gold Lotto because the game has way better odds. I always go for a QuickPick, and hope for the best!
“I haven’t had much time to process. I’m still so shocked by it all.
“There’s a lot of disbelief to whether I have actually taken home $2 million.
“Once I get out of the shock, I think I’ll be able to comprehend it more.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his $2 million bounty, the winning man shared he couldn’t wait to lend a helping hand to his nearest and dearest.
“I’ll be sharing around with the family, and helping them out with my win,” he said.
“Thank you so very much!”
His 10-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
