Canberra man’s Monday turned upside down with Saturday Lotto division one win
A Canberra man is today thanking a last-minute decision to purchase a ticket in the weekend’s draw for his almost $1 million win.
The ACT player held one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4095 on Saturday 17 October 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $928,717.27.
Sharing his excitement with an official from The Lott this morning, the winner explained that he checked his entry yesterday.
“It was quite a day,” he laughed.
“I couldn’t believe it when I checked my entry online.
“I almost fell over! It’s crazy to think that I am one of seven winners.
“I bought this ticket on a whim. I usually only buy tickets into the big jackpot draws, but I thought I’d give Saturday Lotto a go and I am so very glad I did!
“I never thought I’d win anything like this! “It’s life-changing.”
When asked how he thought he’d enjoy his prize, the Canberra man said he’d take some time to make plans.
“I’m still so blown away. I really need time to think about it,” he said.
“I think I might take some time off work and chill out for a bit then plan what I might do.
“It’s going to change things in a big way. There’s no doubt about that!”
The winning ticket was purchased at Kingston Supabarn Lotto, 38 Eyre Street, Kingston.
