A Canberra man is happily house hunting after bagging $2.5 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw.

The ACT resident held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4469 on Saturday 18 May 2024. Each division one winning entry scored $2.5 million.

“This is one of the best days of my life!” the winning man exclaimed.

“I just bought this ticket on the spur of the moment. I’ve never bought a lottery ticket before.

“Then, on Sunday morning, I woke up and saw I had this ticket in my wallet, so I thought I’d check it.

“Oh sh**! I can’t explain the moment. I just can’t believe it.

“My first priority is to buy a house. I’m going to start searching for my first house now. I don’t need to worry about interest rates!

“Thank you! Thank you! This is just incredible!”

The man’s winning entry was purchased at Metro Mitchell, 2 Callan Street, Mitchell.
